How to Use Smoove
Whether it's your first time using a safety razor or you want a refresher on how to use it best when it arrives, follow the steps below.
-
Prep your skin 🚿
A common mistake is shaving too early. Shave after a warm shower or bath when your skin and hair are softened. Apply your favourite shaving cream, gel or oil for a smoove glide.
-
Hold at a 30° angle
Place the razor against your skin at roughly a 30° angle. This helps the blade glide comfortably while giving you a close shave.
-
Let the razor do the work 🪒
Unlike cartridge razors, you don't need to press down. Simply let the weight of the razor glide over your skin using light, gentle pressure.
-
Shave with the grain
Use short, slow strokes in the direction your hair naturally grows and rinse the blade regularly to keep it clear of hair and shaving cream.
-
Rinse and moisturise 🫧
Rinse your skin with warm water, pat dry and apply a moisturiser to keep your skin hydrated.
-
Dry and put away your razor
Rinse your razor thoroughly after each use and allow it to dry completely before storing. Replace the blade every 5-10 shaves or sooner if you notice any tugging or irritation.
